SPINAL OSTEOARTHRITIS

Common cause of degenerative spine disks caused by wearing of cartilage, connective tissue, disks in cervical and lumbar spine. This condition is common among older people, obese patients, athletes and injuries to joints.  Symptoms include but not limited to pain and stiffness in cervical and lumbar spine, limited range of motion.  Diagnosis is made via physical examination, history taking, x-rays.  Treatment includes exercise, medications like anti-inflammatory meds, physical therapy, swimming, and acupuncture.
