THIGH STRAIN
The thigh is composed of three main muscle groups, the quadriceps which are at the front of your leg, the hamstrings are at the back of your leg and the adductors which at the inside of your leg. A thigh strain describes when fibres in a quadriceps muscles are overstretched and tightness . Common causes includes but not limited to not enough warm up sup before exercise, overstretching and muscle fatigue, wrong exercise techinques. Most common symptoms are pain during walking or running, sensation of “pulling tense pain” when stretching, swelling. Diagnosis is made via history taking and examination. Treatment includes but not limited to anti-inflammatory, rest, strengthening techniques.
